Rob Sacchetto's zombiedaily - Sneak Peak

Happy Birthday George Romero!!

Hey there Zombie Art Fans! It's George Romero's Birthday, so I thought that I'd interrupt our regularly scheduled "Heads of the Living Dead Week" entry to pay a small tribute to the man who started "The Living Dead" franchise. George Romero had a huge role in creating the "Modern Zombie", basically the one that ate human flesh, were the recently deceased that returned to life, and could be killed by shooting them in the head, and yes, there WERE fast zombies amongst the slow zombies in his movies!!!! The whole, "Eating Brains" and returning to life from the grave was popularized much later with "Return of the Living Dead", NOT a sequel to Romero's movies, but a film that vastly furthered the Zombie mythos, (And my favorite Zombie Movie).
These illustrations, by the way, are from the two versions of the documentary "Zombiemainia" which I did many more illustrations for and actually co-starred in!
I hope that you've all enjoyed today's posting and tribute to George Romero, Zombie Nation, I'll see you all again very soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Zombie Cyclops

Greetings all you Lovers of Zombie Art! So, here's something you don't see everyday, A zombified cyclops! This is the neat sort of thing that I'm finding myself doing with this expansive series, really digging in and finding new areas of "things to zombify". While I don't want to really do a series within a series, in as much as doing specific renditions of certain groups like rock stars or mythological creatures and such, I still want to at least bring a "feel" for those images into play. I think that specific groups or ideas will be better left to more fully realized illustrations like the "Fast Food Mascots of the Living Dead" and such, in which I can do them more justice in drawing them with bodies and props and so on. Speaking of the "Fast Food Mascots", I've got the last one coming up right after this week long "Heads" extravaganza so check back to see which good natured spokesman I zombified for that series.
Thank you all for stopping by Zombie Nation, see you again real soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Zombie Roadie

Hey there all you Lovers of Zombie Art! I'm zombifying 365 heads for the biggest series here on Zombie Daily, as "The Heads of the Living Dead" week continues! I've got a few really interesting entries coming up by weeks' end for this series so keep checking back to check them out, I'm hoping that you'll really dig them. As I've mentioned before, I am going to try my hardest to complete this run of zombie heads this year, so that perhaps next year everyone can have a "Zombie Head a Day Calendar" HA! We'll see what happens with it but you never know.
Thanks for stopping in everyone, I'll see you all again soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Monster Zombie

Hey there all you Zombified Zombie Art Lovers of the Living Dead out there! With this series of Living Dead Heads, I really didn't want to treat it like a Mr. Potato head type thing where I would just cut and paste different hats, noses, beards, and stuff on the initial head design to create new drawings. I very much wanted each and every new head to be radically different from the last. That isn't to say that I haven't done the Mr. Potato head thing to a degree, but I want the head that things are stuck to, to be different each time as well. So, you'll be seeing all sorts of differing head designs like today's Monster Zombie. There is plenty more experimentation left to go with these and I will explore every avenue I can.
I hope that you liked today's post everyone, see you all next time!

Heads of the Living Dead : Jimmy the Zombie Scumbag

Greetings Zombie Art Lovers! New Living Dead Drawings from the largest source of Zombie Art on the internet!! Of course in drawing such a massive series as the Heads of the Living Dead, I'm also responsible for naming each and every zombie. Sometimes it can be a real chore, and the name that I come up with and stick with may be a little clunky, but other times, the Zombie Head will literally tell YOU what it should be called. Take Jimmy the Zombie Scumbag here. Once again, this was an image that was purely spontaneous in illustrating, but after it was finished, one look at him told me that he looked like a lowlife crook or bottom feeding criminal turned zombie. And there it is! It just seems to fit like a glove of dead flesh! ell, one down, 364 to go!
I hope that you've all enjoyed today's Zombie Daily Drawing, I hope to see you all again soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Skinned Zombie

Hey there Zombie Art Lovers! Okay, so we're on to an impromptu "Heads of the Living Dead" week here on Zombie Daily in an effort to clear out all images lingering over from 2011. In just this month alone I've created 27 new drawings for this massive series and I have to say, at this point, I'm just exited to see all of these images in one place, and I'm using that excitement to push me to finish the series. After all of the time and effort put into making each and every one of these heads different and new, I gotta say it has been a huge challenge. I just overcame the halfway point in numbers for the goal of 365 of these illustrations the other day and I am both thrilled and frightened. It really took a huge effort to get there and I'm going to really have to dig deep if I am to both come up with more original material and finish the series this year. Seems like a Herculean task.
Thanks for stopping in today Zombie Nation, 'hope that you liked today's post!

Heads of the Living Dead : All Kinds of Ugly

Hey there all of you rabid Zombie Art Freaks! I'm very much considering a Heads of the Living Dead week here on Zombie Daily this week. I'd really like to post any and all image holdovers from last year to make way entirely for just new stuff and of course the occasional "Blast from the Past" and "Favorite Zombie Portrait". I have got a lot of singular standing and zombie drawing series to get to this year, but in order to get all of it done, I may again, need to contemplate taking a brief hiatus from regular new posts. We'll see how it goes, and I will keep you all posted.
Thanks for stopping in today everyone. I hope to see you all again very soon!

Zombie Babe Sitting....Not Pretty

Hello there Zombie Art fans out there in the Land of the Walking Dead! Zombie Pin-up Babes have become a real staple here at Zombie Daily, and I've noticed that each year that I attempt a new batch of Living Dead Hotties, I end up approaching them differently. When I first started drawing them, I really drew them as completely dessicated, decayed creatures. As the years went on, I think that I added, amongst other things, more personality and character to them in giving them back their faces. I think that now I can create a Zombie Babe that is completely shredded and decayed but still has a certain sexiness to it for some strange, even disturbing reason....at least that's what a lot of people say, and I think that it's true..I wonder what the next step in the Zombie Babe evolution will be?
Thanks for stopping by Zombie Nation, see you soon!

My Favorite Zombie Portraits : Valentines Day Gifts!

Greetings Zombie Art Lovers, and Lovers of Love! I get so many Valentines Day Zombie Portrait requests that this year, they started coming in around Christmas of the prior year! Whether it's a single portrait, couples' portrait or couples' wedding portrait, I just want to remind everyone to please order soon so that you can present it to your sweetheart horror fan for that special day! I think that it's so cool that people give this gift to their significant other on Valentines Day as it really means so much more than any other day to a lot of people.
I'm really glad that you all decided to stop by and check out Zombie Daily today. Thanks for coming and I hope to see you all again really soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Vincent

Hey every Living Dead body who loves new Zombie Art! Today's new Deadite Drawing comes from the long and ever growing line of "Heads of the Living Dead" series as if you didn't know, and is loosely based on horror icon Vincent Price. I say loosely as I simply had him in mind while drawing this image. there are some drawings from this series that may resemble certain celebrities or historical figures but for the most part it is largely a very spontaneous method that I use in rendering this particular run. I hope that I'm not the only one that sees the Vincent Price in this drawing! HA!
Once again' I thank you all for stopping in today, I'll see you again really soon!

Last Zombie Bettie Page 1st Series

Greetings Zombie Art lovers! Yup, this is the last Bettie Page Zombie drawing from the first series. As I've mentioned in earlier Bettie posts, while I enjoyed working on this series, I did wrap it up rather quickly and thought that it perhaps needed a more detailed, more refined approach. So, having said that, I will, at some point this year do another, possibly shorter run of Zombie Bettie Page drawings that will be of a higher caliber, thus giving my favorite pin-up girl of all time her artistic due.
Thank you all for stopping in today for a new Zombie Daily post, I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Fast Food Mascots of the Living Dead : Wendy's Zombie Wendy

Greetings Zombie Art Freaks in the Land of the Living Dead! I've got one more Living Dead Mascot after our friend Wendy here, and then it's on to a new similar series that was emphatically suggested by all of you fans! If you weren't around for the announcement, you'll find out soon enough! Just a reminder to all you Zombie lovers in love with other Zombie lovers, please order your Valentines Day Zombie Portrait soon, as time is swiftly running out for me to get it out to you depending on where you live.
Thank you all for stopping in today Zombie Nation, see you again soon!

Bikini Beach Babe Zombie Massacre

Hey there Zombie Art fans! Today's Zombie Drawing is the second to last Zombie Babe that I have held over from last year. She was part of a short lived series that I was inspired to do after seeing the movie "Piranha 3D", one of my favorite movies of last year. And speaking of second to last, make sure that you all stop in tomorrow, for a new "Fast Food Mascots of the Living Dead", as it will be the second to last image from that series as well.
'Hope you've enjoyed today's post everyone, see you all soon!

Heads of the Living Dead : Feral Zombie

Greetings all you Zombie Art Lovers out there in the Land of the Dead! so far 2012 has been kicked off with a bang for me Zombie Drawing wise. I've got a lot of Zombie Daily drawings in the can and a lot more started, I've already done a number of Zombie Portraits for Valentines Day gifts, and I'm currently working on yet another album cover, this time for a metal band! Through it all, I'm still going to attempt to bring you all new zombie art content every single day, for as long as I can! I'll also keep you all posted on new projects that I'm involved with so stay tuned to Zombie Daily!
Thanks for stopping in today everyone, see you all next time!

Zombie Babe Emerges from Stony Ground

Hey every Living Dead Body out there! More Zombie Art for you today in the form of a new Zombie Babe! I still have a few Living Dead Girls held over from last year but I will get to those soon to completely clear out "old stock" to make way for new drawings done this year. I'm currently going through the hundreds of drawings that I've done these past few years for Zombie Daily to pick the very best for my massive Zombie Book. It will take quite a while to amass but it's kinda fun going through all those old drawings finding some I really love and others that are really embarrassing!
I hope that you've all enjoyed today's post Zombie Nation, see you all again soon!
